Cases of streptococcal toxic shock syndrome remain stable in Singapore: MOH

The Health Ministry said the number of cases of a potentially deadly disease on the rise in Japan, has remained relatively stable here in Singapore.
Streptococcal toxic shock syndrome, or STSS, is a rare but severe complication of bacterial infection caused by Group A Streptococcus. The ministry added that a surveillance system is in place to detect clusters of infections.
