Goh Hanyan on managing peak capacity of ActiveSG gyms
The peak capacity of each ActiveSG gym is set with a view to maximise access to the facilities, while ensuring that each user has sufficient space and time to exercise, and that the fire safety requirements are complied with. This will be reviewed from time to time. Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Culture, Community and Youth Goh Hanyan said this in reply to an MP’s questions in parliament on Thursday (Nov 6). She said ActiveSG gyms are generally well-utilised, with more visitors for larger gyms. The government will continue to monitor demand when planning the supply of gym facilities, she added.
