Saktiandi Supaat on motions for grants to support IMF trusts

Singapore has always affirmed that it is in its national interests to contribute as a responsible member of the international community, said MP Saktiandi Supaat. Speaking in parliament on Wednesday (Feb 4), he wanted to know how much Singapore’s world view has evolved or needs to evolve amidst the changing world order. He also wanted to know how Singapore's past contributions have been utilised. He suggested raising awareness among Singaporeans of their country’s international assistance efforts and looking at ways that they can participate in international assistance programmes on the ground.
