Shawn Huang on outcome-based work arrangements

Both employers and employees may benefit from outcome-based work arrangements where the nature of the job allows. However, such a model may not be suitable for jobs that will require shift work or a physical presence, said Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Manpower Shawn Huang in parliament on Tuesday (Mar 3). In his reply to an MP’s questions, he also said that even as some work arrangements move towards outcome rather than time-based management, the government recognises the need for employees to have healthy work-life boundaries.
