Budget 2026 debate: Lee Hui Ying on tapping on seniors in AI growth

As Singapore becomes a "super aged" society, its seniors remain an important pillar of the workforce, said MP Lee Hui Ying. Speaking in parliament on Tuesday (Feb 24), she pointed out that their life experiences and wisdom would be difficult for AI to replicate and stressed the need to tap on their experiences. She proposed setting up a matching service for industry veterans to connect with small- and medium-sized enterprises to contribute as mentors, experts and trainers.
