Amir Yusof reports on politics, the economy, climate change, finance, lifestyle and sports.
Amir joined CNA in 2016 as a producer, before moving to the reporting desk to cover transport issues.
He also reported on news events in Johor, including the fatal blaze at Hospital Sultanah Aminah hospital in 2016 and the rescue of two Singaporean hikers on Gunung Pulai in 2018.
Amir was deployed to cover the historic 2018 Malaysia general election and has reported on key Singapore-Malaysia bilateral issues including the High-Speed Rail and the Johor-Singapore Rapid Transit System Link.
He also covered the 2019 Indonesia presidential election and the 2020 Singapore general election.
Before joining CNA, Amir was a stringer with the Agence France-Presse in Singapore. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies from the Nanyang Technological University.
