Nivell Rayda
Nivell Rayda reports on a variety of issues, including politics, security, the environment and natural disasters.
Nivell has been a journalist for more than 15 years and has collected a number of accolades for his breaking and feature news articles, most notably the 2012 Journalist of the Year from the Society of Publishers in Asia.
He started his career as a freelancer for a number of publications before joining the Jakarta Globe. He covered the 2014 and 2019 Indonesian presidential elections, the 2016 terrorism attack in Jakarta and the 2018 earthquake and tsunami in Central Sulawesi.
Since joining CNA in 2019, he has covered the transboundary haze, 2021 Sriwijaya air crash, impacts of COVID-19 and climate change issues affecting local communities.
Nivell has a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Australia’s Edith Cowan University.
