SINGAPORE: In his second National Day Rally speech as prime minister, Mr Lawrence Wong acknowledged the disruptive potential of new technology like AI, while outlining plans to strengthen job-matching services so Singaporeans do not fall behind.
On vapes - which have dominated headlines, especially those laced with substances like etomidate - he made clear Singapore's firm stance with stiffer penalties to come.
He also announced a new government-funded traineeship programme for graduates; and for the elderly, the setting up of age-friendly neighbourhoods, starting in Toa Payoh.
