2 artists honoured with Cultural Medallion; 5 receive Young Artist Award
Seven artists have been awarded the Cultural Medallion and Young Artist Award - Singapore's highest accolades for the arts. The Cultural Medallion winners are playwright and production designer Goh Boon Teck and Chinese ink and calligraphy artist Nai Swee Leng. They received their awards from President Tharman Shanmugaratnam on Nov 27 afternoon. Five youths also received the Young Artist Award and a S$20,000 grant for future artistic projects.
