Kenneth Tiong on Road Traffic (Miscellaneous Amendments) Bill

03:18 Min

Singapore will need firmer measures against drivers who are on the road when they should not be there at all, such as the driver who has been banned by a court or lost his or her licence and never earned it back. MP Kenneth Tiong, who made this call in parliament on Tuesday (Aug 4), wanted to know if the government would work with the Sentencing Advisory Panel on guidelines for such cases. He also wanted to know if the government would publish the number of disqualified or unlicensed drivers, and those who have re-offended.
