Reduce the quantum of subsidy given to Prime Location Public Housing (PLH) buyers at the outset and provide higher subsidies for resale flat buyers instead, suggested MP Louis Chua in Parliament on Tuesday (Mar 8). He said this would better tackle the issue of "windfall profits" while leaving less room for market distortion. He also highlighted "discrimination" against singles who are not allowed to buy PLH flats even on the resale market.
