Committee of Supply 2023 debate, Day 1: Muhamad Faisal Abdul Manap on extending use of Child Development Account

In Parliament on Friday (Feb 24), MP Muhamad Faisal Abdul Manap highlighted the need to extend the use of the Child Development Account, which was introduced to lighten the financial burden of parents in raising children. He urged the Government to consider allowing it to be used to buy infant milk formula and diapers. He said for many low-income families, the two items form a significant financial burden and adding them to the list of approved items would bring relief to many parents.
