Some former tenants of Tanjong Katong Complex say their business has dropped by more than 60 per cent since moving out last year. This is as their new shops do not enjoy the same footfall and rental costs are also rising. With the building now set to re-open in 2029, three years later than expected, they are less sure of their futures, with early proposals for the complex also focusing on up-and-coming businesses.
