Manpower Ministry to update list of occupational diseases recognised by law

The Manpower Ministry will be updating its list of occupational diseases that are recognised by laws mandating their reporting and compensation. These are health conditions caused by working environment, such as noise-induced loss of hearing, and problems with muscles and bones. The move would serve to clarify reporting and compensation requirements, and better protect workers. Nicolas Ng reports.
