Tan See Leng on safeguards against companies using Singapore to bypass US trade restrictions

He said the government will investigate and take appropriate action if a company in Singapore is engaged in deceptive or dishonest practices to evade export controls. Foreign Affairs Minister Vivian Balakrishnan, who addressed a question by MP Jamus Lim, stressed that Singapore will not allow companies to use their association with the country to engage in deceptive or evasive measures to avoid unilateral export measures.
