Budget 2026 debate: Yeo Wan Ling on inclusion for women, PWDs and AI transformations
If inclusion is to be real for women, policy must be matched by practical action, said MP Yeo Wan Ling. Speaking in parliament on Wednesday (Feb 25), she urged the government to scale job redesign funding and build expertise, recognise and benchmark progressive workplaces, publish sectoral benchmarks on flexible work arrangement outcomes and expand flexible and extended childcare options. These were among her proposals in three priority areas that need more work to become more inclusive. The other two are a kinder workplace for persons with disabilities (PWDs) and responsible preparation for AI transformations.
