Carmakers showcase latest tech at Japan's largest motor show against backdrop of US tariffs

Japan's carmakers are showing off their latest technology and models at the country's largest motor and mobility show in Tokyo. But, US tariffs have cast a shadow on the outlook of the crucial sector. In April, US President Donald Trump imposed an additional 25% tariff on imported Japanese cars, before settling on a 15% rate in September. More than 500 exhibitors are participating in this year's Japan Mobility Show, which runs until Nov 9. Michiyo Ishida reports.
