Japan's carmakers are showing off their latest technology and models at the country's largest motor and mobility show in Tokyo. But, US tariffs have cast a shadow on the outlook of the crucial sector. In April, US President Donald Trump imposed an additional 25% tariff on imported Japanese cars, before settling on a 15% rate in September.
