Henry Kwek on Online Safety (Relief and Accountability) Bill
The Online Safety (Relief and Accountability) Bill makes the online space safer, strengthens trust, delivers speed as part of justice and holds platforms and perpetrators to account, said MP Henry Kwek. Speaking in parliament on Wednesday (Nov 5), he stressed the need for protection and healing to move together. He wanted to know how the Online Safety Commission (OSC) would work with community groups and the appropriate services to support victims of online harms. He also wanted to know how the OSC would enforce its directions outside Singapore.
