Motion: Poh Li San on reinforcing Singapore’s position as a global transport hub
Singapore is committed to specific green goals as well as building a vibrant aviation industry to provide good jobs and continued growth. But it cannot meet both ambitions under the current business-as-usual paradigm, said MP Poh Li San. It needs a "leap of imagination and technology", and a "completely new way of doing things", she said in parliament on Tuesday (Jul 7). She urged the government to create an international green air hub and grow a centre of excellence using frontier technology for electric aircraft manufacturing to secure good jobs for Singaporeans.
