Ms Grace Fu is Singapore’s Minister for Sustainability and the Environment. Prior to her current appointment, she was the Minister for Culture, Community and Youth and held positions at the Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Information, Communication and the Arts, and Ministry of National Development. Ms Fu began her career with the Overseas Union Bank and was the Chief Executive Officer of PSA Southeast Asia and Japan before joining the public sector.

She is a member of the Central Executive Committee of the People’s Action Party and holds the appointment of Organising Secretary. A Member of Parliament since 2006, Ms Fu was Leader of the House from 2015 to 2020.

Alok Sharma was appointed full-time President for COP 26, the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference, on 8 January 2021.

He was previously Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy and President for COP 26 between 13 February 2020 and 8 January 2021.

He was previously Secretary of State for International Development from 24 July 2019 to 13 February 2020, and Minister of State for Employment at the Department of Work and Pensions from 9 January 2018 until 24 July 2019.

He was Minister of State for Housing and Planning, for the Department for Communities and Local Government from 13 June 2017 to 9 January 2018.

Robert Swan is the first person to have walked to both the North and South Poles. He is an explorer, a leader in energy innovation, and founder of the 2041 Foundation, a non-­profit dedicated to preserve Antarctica as a natural reserve, land for science and peace.

On January 11, 1986, Robert and a team of three, ‘In the Footsteps of Scott’ arrived at the South Pole. Their 900 mile journey was the longest unassisted march in history.

Three years later, in 1989, Robert led, ‘Icewalk’, with a team of eight to the North Pole. By the age of 33, Robert had achieved his dream to walk to both the Poles.

During these two historic expeditions, Robert experienced firsthand the effects of climate change and environmental degradation. At the South Pole, his eyes changed color through damage due to the prolonged exposure of ultra-­violet rays as he walked under the hole in the ozone layer. At the North Pole, his team nearly drowned because of the premature melting of the ocean ice. These two hard-­hitting and unexpected incidents galvanized him to launch the mission, ‘2041’.

Robert received the Polar Medal and the title of the Officer of the British Empire (O.B.E) from Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. His contribution to education, energy innovation and environmental action have been recognized by the United Nations through his appointment as UNEP Goodwill Ambassador for Youth, Special Envoy to the Director General of UNESCO and as a recipient of the UN Humanitarian Innovation Award.He is the co-­author of four books and was a keynote speaker at all of the UN World Summits for Sustainable Development, the World Economic Forum and the Corporate Eco Forum.

He was born on 28 July 1956 in Nesham, UK and currently lives with his son, Barney Swanin California.

Steve Chan joined BMW Group Asia in 2009 and currently serves as the Head of Regional Government and External Affairs for Southeast Asia (ASEAN). Leveraging his depth of regional knowledge, Steve functions as a key member of the company’s regional strategy development function. In his capacity, Steve is charged with monitoring political and regulatory developments in a number of critical ASEAN markets, and is also entrusted with identifying both new growth opportunities and emerging challenges. Prior to his current role, Steve served as a Regional Aftersales Technical Manager in BMW Group Asia, supporting the company’s work on technical and homologation matters across ASEAN.

Dave Fernandez is the Director of the Sim Kee Boon Institute (SKBI) for Financial Economics and Professor of the Practice of Finance at the Lee Kong Chian School of Business at Singapore Management University (SMU). He is also the Co-Director of the Singapore Green Finance Centre which is jointly run by SKBI and Imperial College London’s Centre for Climate Finance & Investment. Outside of SMU, he sits on the Advisory Panel of the ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office.

Prior to returning to academia in 2018, Prof Dave worked as an economist in the private sector at Barclays and J.P. Morgan. He started his career in the public sector, serving as an economist in the administration of President George H.W. Bush and at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

Outside of his activities as an economist, he sits on the board of EMpower, a global philanthropy focused on at-risk youth in emerging market countries. He is also a member of Phillips Exeter Academy’s Asia Council and the Exco of the Princeton Alumni Association of Singapore.

Prof Dave holds an M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics from Princeton University where he completed his dissertation under the guidance of Ben S. Bernanke. His undergraduate degree is from the University of Pennsylvania where Robert S. Mariano was his mentor.

Dr. Theresa Mundita S. Lim is the current Executive Director of the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity (ACB) where she leads the Centre in facilitating regional cooperation and coordination on biodiversity conservation for it to be sustainably managed and used, and equitably shared for the well-being of people. Some of her notable international roles in the conservation sector were as the Chair of the Convention on Biological Diversity Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice (CBD-SBSTTA) from 2017 to 2018, Chair of the 15th and 18th Meetings of the ASEAN Working Group Meeting on Coastal and Marine Environment (AWGCME) in 2014 and 2017, Chairperson of the 4th ASEAN Experts Group (AEG) on the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Flora and Fauna (CITES) Meeting in 2006, and Chairperson of the 16th ASEAN Working Group on Nature Conservation and Biodiversity (AWGNCB), also in 2006. Her core competencies and extensive experience and expertise are in local, regional, and international governance, management, policy development, implementation, and innovation, partnership-building, science and policy linkages, and advocacy in the fields of biodiversity conservation and wildlife protection.

As the Chairman of Daikin Airconditioning (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., Mr Liu provides leadership to the board of the company, supervising and ensuring good corporate governance while setting the ethical tone for the organisation.

Prior to this appointment, he was their Managing Director and helped build Daikin as the most trusted airconditioning brand – the No. 1 leader in residential and commercial airconditioning in Singapore. He also transformed the company with “Smart Building” airconditioning solutions to position itself as the pioneer in sustainability and trendsetter for Smart solutions.

Also assuming the role of the Managing Director of Daikin Holdings Singapore Pte. Ltd. – a regional office of Daikin – Mr Liu is responsible for leading innovative airconditioning solutions across the Asean-Oceania region & India, and expanding business in this arena. He aims to bring the organisation to the next level by capitalising on new technologies and integrating them through IoT, data utilisation and energy management. Ultimately, the aim is to deliver new, green innovative value and services, better Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and comfort to customers, while embracing environmental challenges and eco-sustainability.

In recognition of his leadership excellence, Mr Liu was awarded the Executive of the Year – Residential Product Manufacturing in 2018 at the SBR Management Excellent Awards for his efforts in transforming Daikin Singapore from an equipment provider to an airconditioning solutions provider.

As Head of Wealth Management Southeast Asia, Mike manages a team of Private Bankers who help to reduce complexity for Asia's Global Families. These are families who are connected to Asia but also the U.K., Canada or U.S.A. He is also the chief executive of RBC Singapore where he is accountable to the MAS (Monetary Authority of Singapore) for the Wealth Management and Investor Services businesses in the country. Mike spent one year developing the client strategy for the Asia business while in Hong Kong.

Previously, Mike led the international side of the private wealth business out of London, UK, with a team of wealth managers who covered Family Offices and Ultra High Net Worth clients globally including those from the Middle East, the European region, Americas and Global South and East Asia regions. He also focused on the Multi- family office segment.

Mike started his career in the Canadian financial services industry working for an investment solution provider. He worked as a Private Client Advisor before moving to RBC, working in roles in financial planning, client strategy and leading RBC's trust company (Delaware). He also acted as a Director on the American Gift Fund, a U.S. based 501(c)3 registered charity.

Mike earned his Honours degree in Economics from Queen’s University and completed his MBA through the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University in Chicago and the Schulich School of Business at York University.

He holds various professional accreditations such as the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) and Chartered Investment Manager (CIM). He is licensed with the HKMA in Hong Kong and MAS in Singapore.

Radish has 23 years of experience in financial services regulations, financial crime compliance (FCC), regulatory compliance, anti-bribery and corruption, conduct of business and legislative drafting. She currently leads Deloitte’s FCC practice in Southeast Asia.

Prior to Deloitte, her roles have included Head of Compliance and Risk, Regional Anti-Money Laundering Officer (AML) / Client Due Diligence (CDD) Head, Office of Secretary to the Board and Audit Committee, Data Protection Commissioner for Dubai International Financial Centre (regime is based on the EU data protection law), and member of the Executive Committee for Dubai International Financial Centre Authority.

As a consultant, she has worked on numerous FCC projects, Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements, enterprise wide AML / CFT risk assessments, remediation, validation across complex FCC programmes, innovation, efficiency and optimisation in FCC programes and target state / target operating models, and use of robotics process automation (RPA), artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to create efficiency in AML processes.

Dr. Bambang Susantono is the Vice-President for Knowledge Management and Sustainable Development of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). He is the first Indonesian in this position.

He holds a PhD in Infrastructure Planning, and has 2 Master’s degrees in Transportation Engineering, and City and Regional Planning from the University of California, Berkeley. He graduated from Bachelor of Engineering from Civil Engineering Department, the Bandung Institute of Technology.

Dr. Susantono is responsible for managing knowledge in ADB, and coordinating researches and studies on various topics such as energy, transport, education, health, finance, urban; and also cross-cutting nexus themes such as climate change, governance, gender, social development, environment, rural development and food security, and regional cooperation. He also coordinates ADB annual flagship publications such as the Asian Development Outlook, Key Indicators of Asia Pacific, and Asian Regional Economic Integration Report.

Prior to this, Dr. Susantono was the Acting Minister, and Vice-Minister of Transportation of Indonesia, and Deputy Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development at the Office of Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs. He was also Member of the Board for airline, port, telecommunications, and media companies.

He chaired several research institutes and taught in universities. He is actively doing research, publishes several books, and writes articles in the subject of infrastructure, transportation, urban and regional planning, sustainable development, and climate change.

Dr. Susantono received several accolades including Bintang Mahaputra Utama, Satya Lencana Pembangunan, Satya Lencana Wira Karya, Rekor MURI 2015, Sustainable Leadership Award 2018, Ganesha Widya Jasa Adiutama (ITB) 2019, Top 100 Fintech for SDG Influencer 2019.

Simon SC Tay is a public intellectual as well as an advisor to major corporations and policy-makers. Based in Singapore, he is Chairman of the Singapore Institute of International Affairs, the country’s oldest think tank that has been ranked as the best independent think tank in Asia. He is concurrently a tenured Associate Professor, teaching international law at the National University of Singapore Faculty of Law and has also taught at Harvard Law School, the Fletcher School and Yale University. Prof Tay is also Senior Consultant at WongPartnership, a leading Asian law firm of some 300 lawyers and with offices in ASEAN, China and the Middle East. He served on boards for leading global companies including MUFG Bank of Japan, Toyota Japan, and Deutsche Boerse (Asia), and was previously Corporate Advisor to Temasek Holdings (2006-09). Prof Tay isappointed as an Ambassador forSingapore, currently accredited to Greece on a non-residential basis.From 1992 to 2019, he served in a number of public appointments for Singapore including as Chairman of the National Environment Agency (2002-08); an Expert and Eminent Person in the ASEAN Regional Forum (2002–2019); an independent Member of Parliament (1997-2001); and to coordinate the country’s equivalent of the Peace Corps (1990-93).
