Angela Lim


Angela anchors Singapore's daily news bulletin on Channel 5, News 5.

She joined CNA in 2016, after 5 years as a Radio Presenter/Producer on Singapore's only English news station, 938LIVE (re-branded 938NOW). In that time, she presented hourly news bulletins as well as helmed and produced a variety of current affairs programmes and talk shows.

Across TV and radio, she has anchored and reported 'live' in breaking news events like the death of Singapore's founding Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew, the 2015 Singapore General Election, the Bukit Batok by-elections in 2016 and the Singapore Budget in 2017.

Angela has also interviewed key regional political figures like former Indonesian foreign minister Marty Natelegawa, ex-Malaysian defence minister Syed Hamid Albar and ASEAN Secretary General, Le Luong Minh. Other interviewees include celebrity chefs Gordon Ramsay, Daniel Boulud as well as music producer and DJ, Hardwell.

A well-rounded media professional, Angela started out as a digital journalist. She spent two years reporting and writing for Yahoo! News as one of the pioneer members of its editorial team.

She also has years of experience moderating 'live' forums, as well as hosting official events and charity roadshows. A sought-after voice-over artist, Angela has worked with organisations like Land Transport Authority, Ministry of Manpower and various MNCs.

Outside work, Angela is passionate about many social causes. She sits on the Board of Directors of local charity, Silver Ribbon Singapore and works closely with Club Rainbow, H.O.M.E and the Singapore Red Cross.

In her free time, you'll find Angela on a travel adventure, reading and training Muay Thai.

Angela graduated from Singapore Management University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science.
